The Polaroid iM1836 is an 18MP camera produced by Sakar under the Polaroid license. It uses the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and has built-in Wi-Fi and comes pre-loaded with Polaroid photo sharing apps so users can load their images and videos to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr and Vimeo. The camera is controlled via a 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD monitor, and captures 1080p HD video as well as stills. In addition to Wi-Fi, the iM1836 is Bluetooth enabled, so users can upload their images via their Droid or iOS devices.

Although details about sensor size haven't been made available, it seems to be using a sensor similar in size to the Nikon 1; an adaptor is available that will make it possible to use Micro Four Thirds lenses. Bundled with a 10-30mm zoom lens?the only Polaroid-branded lens for this camera so far?it is expected to to be available from Adorama during the first quarter of 2013 for $399.
